The Advisory, Conciliatory and Arbitration Service (ACAS) makes clear that the law requires your employer not to discriminate against disabled workers by trying to unreasonably pressure you to return to work, or by unreasonably disciplining you for not going to work.

Government & LUL want to abandon Social distancing to increase tube capacity - Download and distribute

A story in the Telegraph (Sat 2 May) says the government is looking to abandon the advice to maintain 2m social distancing.

RMT gears up for industrial and political battle in London

I'm writing to you to set out how your union is responding to the Government's attempt to use the crisis in TfL's finances to launch an attack on the livelihoods of ordinary Londoners, including threats to attacks jobs and pensions on the capital's transport network.

RMT will not tolerate any attacks on Tube jobs and conditions

RMT on reports tonight that Government are threatening a total takeover of TFL

General Secretary Mick Cash said:

"The speculation that the Government are threatening to take direct control of TFL sounds like more  bullying by this administration designed to impose their will on Londoners and ride roughshod over local democracy. 

RMT demand support for taxi trade

TAXI UNION RMT today demanded national, regional and local support for the taxi trade as the exclusion of drivers from financial support packages leaves them facing bankruptcy. ‎

With the second wave of COVID - 19 now battering the whole of Britain, and with localised lockdowns in place, the taxi trade is currently in crisis with hard working taxi drivers facing financial ruin due to the decimation of regular as well as passing trade.
