Dear Colleague,
RMT LUL REBALLOT - ONLINE MEMBER BRIEFING - 4PM MONDAY 23RD OCTOBER
Please join an important online briefing for all RMT LUL members about the reballot in our campaign to defend your jobs, pensions and agreements.
This is an opportunity to hear from the lead officers and negotiators about why it is so important to deliver a big YES vote in the reballot and have your questions answered.
If you would like to submit a question for the panel, please do so here by 12pm on Monday at the latest.
Dear colleague,
TUC- LESE London Solidarity March and Rally: 4th October
RMT station staff members on London Underground will be taking strike action on 4th October, alongside ASLEF members on the mainline and members from a number of other unions in dispute at the moment. The London, Eastern and South Eastern TUC (LESE) has organised a solidarity march and rally on 4th October. There will be speakers from several of the unions taking action.
Train grades meetings are the time for RMT’s train driver activists from across LU to get together to debate issues, formulate plans of action and hear reports from functional and local reps.
All RMT train drivers are welcome and encouraged to attend. Meetings are from 1430 to 1600 and alternate between Zoom and in person. Your local rep will be able to give you Zoom details to join the virtual meetings, or otherwise contact one of the Train Grade officers.
December meeting date is TBC.
For more info see the attached poster.
DURHAM MINERS GALA 2023 - SATURDAY 8TH JULY
The Durham Miners' Gala returned in 2022 after a three-year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was the biggest Gala in decades as more than 200,000 people packed the streets of Durham and the Racecourse ground to enjoy the sights and sounds of The Big Meeting. Hosted by the Durham Miners Association (DMA) since 1871, the Gala is the world's greatest celebration of community, international solidarity, and working-class culture. It is a unique and inspiring spectacle.
