Fight for Better Jobs and Services: Registration is now open for the Insource Now! Joint RMT / UNISON Campaign Launch - Tuesday 1st September 2026

As you know through your union's Better Jobs Better Services campaign, we have been fighting to end the exploitation of outsourced RMT members and to deliver a better railway for all workers and passengers.

To give new weight to this campaign and to end the scourge of outsourcing across all public services, RMT and the public sector union UNISON are conducting joint campaigning to build national political support for delivering the wave of insourcing promised by the government.

Insource Now! is aimed at turning up the pressure on government to persuade them to take concrete action on insourcing, including on public transport. 

The launch event for Insource Now! will be held at UNISON's headquarters in London on Tuesday 1st September where I will be joined by their General Secretary Andrea Egan and outsourced workers to highlight how we make insourcing a reality for all our members.

The day of the campaign launch also coincides with the day MPs return to parliament after the summer recess.  Let's send a message loud and clear to MPs that the government needs to Insource Now! to deliver better jobs and services.
