Update On Criminal Injury Compensation Scheme

Yesterday Labour secured an Opposition Day Debate opposing the Government’s attack on the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme. An Opposition Day Debate is an allocated time when the official opposition can put a motion for debate and vote on an issue of its choosing. The debate was also attended by members of the RMT Parliamentary Group.

Following the debate the Government won the vote and there was no sign of any rebellion.

Executive Decision On CSS Bonus Payments To Members Transferred To TFL Under 'Project Horizon'

RMT To Protest Outside Russian Embassy Over Violation Of LGBT Rights

On Tuesday 20th November 2012, RMT activists plan to stage a demonstration outside the Embassy of the Russian Federation, in protest at the violation of the rights of LGBT Russians.
We will meet-up at Notting Hill Gate Tube Station at 2:30pm and walk together to the Russian Embassy in Kensington Palace Gardens where we will stage our demo and deliver the RMT protest letter below.

RMT Deplores Tube Bosses Treatment Of Representative Moriarty

We note the resolution from our London Transport Regional Council.

We deplore the way that London Underground Ltd has treated our representative, Brother Moriarty, and instruct the General Secretary to provide him with full support in pursuing this matter.

We also note that the issue of RMT representation at North Greenwich and Stratford train crew depots has now been resolved to our satisfaction, and congratulate our members, branch and representatives for their steadfastness on this matter.
