Initial legal threat - RMT defending our action against this spurious and vindictive threat
'Demonstration against Condor Ferries who pay workers £2.35/hour; 12hr days, 3 months at sea.
In your opinion do you think it is fair for an employer operating between Portsmouth and the channel islands to pay £2.35 per hour for workers employed on these vessels for 12 hours per day for up to 3 months away??
RMT members are demanding the TUC build for a 24 hour general strike against austerity.
We will assemble on Sunday 9th September, 1pm at The Level park - Union Road, Brighton BN2 (Map) for march at 1.30pm to Brighton Conference Centre.
There will then be a rally, including Bob Crow, RMT general secretary, Mark Serwotka, PCS general secretary, Steve Gillan, POA general secretary and more.
Industrial action changed - London Underground’s breaches of casualisation dispute settlement
Further to my previous correspondence with regards our Casualisation dispute, your General Grades Committee has reviewed the situation and decided to amend the industrial action. The below action is now CANCELLED:-
Train Operators will not stop at stations which do not have the minimum number of station staff on duty.
The next meeting of the Revenue and Station grades takes place on Thursday 23 August at the Exmouth Arms, Star St , nearest stations Euston amd Euston Sq

We note the views expressed by our LT region train grades committee, the need to keep our disputes and industrial action continuously under review, and our members’ need for advice and information.
We therefore instruct the General Secretary to ensure the speedy and effective implementation of our previous decision of 17 July 2012 to ensure that members are given full support and information in carrying out our industrial action, including both printed materials and personal contact with officials and representatives.
We note that our representatives are currently released from work only for the actual date of the quarterly meeting of London Underground’s Uniform Consultative Committee, giving them no time to properly prepare, consult and report back.
We instruct the General Secretary to request from London Underground Ltd that it release our Uniform Consultative Committee representatives for one day prior to the agenda deadline for the meeting to consult and prepare, and one day to report back. Developments are to be placed in front of us.
We note the report on progress in negotiations, and affirm that pursuing further talks, rather than industrial action, is the way forward on this issue.
