RMT members have demonstrated our commitment to keeping the tube and other TfL services running throughout the Covid 19 crisis. We want to provide the best possible service to workers in London but we reject workers being forced on to the tube without the necessary safety planning and before conditions are right.
The government is putting pressure of TfL and LUL to run a near 100% service to help carry more passengers as people are told to go back to work whether they can socially distance or not.

RMT advice to members on legislation in England requiring passengers on public transport to wear face coverings
Dear Colleague,
RMT writes to Grant Shapps warning that requirement for face masks on public transport risks being marred by confusion and conflict.
Transport union RMT has written to the Secretary of State Grant Shapps to warn a lack of consultation and proper discussion in the transport industry means that the requirement for face masks on public transport from 15th June risks being marred by “confusion and conflict.”
