Members in Oyster Business Support, Lost Property Office, London Transport Museum and the Travel Information Centres are: not to book on for any duty starting on or after 07:00 on Friday 27 July, returning to work for duties starting on or after 07:00 on Saturday 28 July

Members in the Travel Information Contact Centres based at Pier Walk and Albany House which are termed First Contact Telephony for Oyster, Surface, Buses and London Underground are to strike between the following hours: Friday 27 July 10:00- 12:00; Friday 27 July 21:00-23:00; Saturday 28 July 01:00-03:00

That we note the correspondence from our Regional Organiser on file and the letter from Thales dated the 13th July 2012 and that this matter remains unresolved.

Therefore we reiterate our previous decision to call industrial action as stated in our decision GWW 11th July 2012.

Further should Thales mount a legal challenge, the General Secretary is instructed to provide all necessary assistance to defend the decision of our members to take industrial action.

The RMT is demanding that the cleaners, who do some of the dirtiest jobs often in appalling conditions to keep the tube running, should receive in return:

We note the report from our Regional Organiser, and are appalled that Emcor Rail have refused to make any financial offer to our members for Olympics working.

We therefore instruct the General Secretary to immediately conduct a ballot for strikes and action short of strikes, notice to be given today, the ballot to commence on 18 July and close on 27 July, ballot papers to be sent first class, and a personal letter to be sent to all members involved urging them to vote Yes to both questions.

Initial Cleaners at London Underground - Join RMT and help the union win decent pay and conditions.

RMT submitted a claim on behalf of cleaners on the Initial LUL contract, seeking a substantial pay increase, proper reward for the Olympics, and improvements in conditions including sick pay, pensions and travel facilities.

Initial boasts that “people are at the heart of everything we do” and that it aims “to be the employer of choice within our industry” with “fair rates of pay and benefits, excellent career opportunities and a caring and flexible approach” – yet it is expecting cleaners on the LUL contract already on low pay to take a real-terms pay cut.

ISS Cleaners on the London Underground Join RMT and help the union win decent pay and conditions for you

RMT submitted a claim on behalf of cleaners on the ISS LUL contract, seeking a substantial pay increase, proper financial reward for the Olympics, and improvements in conditions including sick pay, pensions and travel facilities.

ISS boasts about its corporate responsibility, that it offers adequate pay and proper working conditions and respects the right to collective bargaining - yet it expects cleaners already on low pay to take a real-terms pay cut. RMT says that is unacceptable. but rather than talk, the company has resorted to dirty tricks, including putting out lies that the union has accepted some sort of unspecified deal after the Olympics - this is complete nonsense!

In response to LUL’s statement given on Thursday 5 July at 16:00 at ACAS, RMT is not arguing about the use of ICSAs working on stations alongside established staff. We are, however, totally opposed to ICSAs being counted towards minimum numbers for keeping a station open or for evacuation purposes.
