Representation Levels on Stations: Latest Position

Management continue to refuse to recognise our reps in many areas. This is a clear and obvious breach of the agreement made in March 2000 on our machinery of negotiation.

RMT will continue to elect our full entitlement of reps on stations.

Members have the right to ask for whoever they want to accompany them to LDIs, Case Conferences etc. Therefore managers cannot refused to release any rep who a member has specifically asked for.

RMT Disabled Members' Conference

Delegates to the 2017 RMT Disabled Members' Conference

Yesterday saw RMT's first ever Disabled Members' Conference, held in London.

Although quite small (9 delegates, plus union officials), the important thing was that it took place at all, especially as rank-and-file members had pushed for its creation against the wishes of the union's national leadership. Now it is established, it will grow from year to year, as the union's other equalities conferences have done.

London Underground senior managers are seeking to lie and mislead the public over the events surrounding the punitive disciplinary sanctions handed down to the London Bridge 3.

Their colleague, who was pregnant, was assaulted by a fare eveader on November 16.

She requested assistance via connect radio and this has been confirmed by the CSS who took the radio call.

London Underground are lying when they say this CSA was not assaulted.

London Underground Impose Train Manager Role

LU management have announced that they will be releasing Train Manager rosters this Sunday 26th March. It therefore remains clear to the RMT that they still have no interest in engaging in meaningful negotiations and plan to impose the new model in 28 days from release of rosters.
The following response has been sent today to Mike Smith:
