Dear Colleagues

Please be advised that RMT has organised a zoom meeting for all representatives employed by TfL companies, including LUL, TfL, ABM and all other subsidiaries.

As stated, this is to address the swinging TfL cuts that will affect all of us across all employers on TfL.

No release arrangements have been secured for this meeting, but you are nevertheless urged to make every effort to attend given its importance.

ABOLITION OF NIGHT TUBE TRAIN OPERATOR GRADE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

I am writing further to my letter of 20th August where I notified members that the industrial action that had been planned this week has been suspended. The union’s decision was made possible by progress that had been made between your negotiating team and the company during the talks held at ACAS.

Your National Executive Committee has considered a report from your lead officer and their decision is as follows: -

TUBE UNION RMT said today that it has suspended strike action by drivers

TUBE UNION RMT said today that it has suspended strike action by drivers scheduled for next week in the Night Tube dispute after further progress in ACAS talks today.

General Secretary Mick Lynch said;

"Following further progress in ACAS talks today our Executive has decided that there are sufficient grounds to suspend next week's tube strike action.

"We remain in dispute and will be engaging in further discussions with a view to reaching a settlement.

ACTION SUSPENDED

ABOLITION OF NIGHT TUBE TRAIN OPERATOR GRADE - LONDON UNDERGROUND

I write to advise you that your NEC has decided to suspend the industrial action in this dispute planned to take place from 12:00 on Tuesday 3rd August 2021 and members are instructed to work normally on the following days:

• 12:00 hours on Tuesday 3rd August 2021 to 11.59 hours on Wednesday 4th August 2021

• 12:00 hours on Thursday 5th August 2021 to 11.59 hours on Friday 6th August 2021

RMT suspends Tube strike

RMT suspends Tube strike action this week to allow for further talks.

RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch said:

"Following extensive and wide ranging discussions through the ACAS machinery we have hammered out enough ground to allow those talks to continue. As a result this week's strike action is suspended although the rest of the planned action rema‎ins on.

ACAS Talks continue over Tube dispute

TUBE UNION RMT has said that it will be joining last ditch ACAS talks this morning ( Monday, 2nd of August) with a view to securing a constructive solution to the dispute over the abolition of the Night Tube driver grade with strike action across London set to start at lunchtime tomorrow.
