RMT Seeks Urgent Meeting As Doubleplay Take Over Tube Advertising Contract

We note the correspondence and instruct the Regional Organiser to seek an urgent meeting with Doubleplay LU Ltd to confirm our members' situation and seek improvements to their pay and conditions.

We further instruct the General Secretary to obtain and place in front of us briefing notes on Platinum Equity and Doubleplay LU Ltd; and a timeline of ownership of this contract since advertisement posting was privatised.

Tube Lines Joint Working Party Full Decision

We note the report from our lead officer, summarising the views expressed at our representatives’ meeting on 23 August. Accordingly, we instruct the General Secretary to advise the employer that:

  1. trade union representation on the Joint Working Party should be proportional to the membership of the trade unions; that RMT’s delegation should include all our Company Council members; and that all members of the JWP should be either Tube Lines employees or full-time officers;

Power Services Members Entitled To Transfer To TFL Pension Fund

That we note the latest correspondence on file from the Regional Organiser confirming the assurances sought by the General Grades Committee.

With regards to pensions, it has been agreed that transferring in staff will be entitled to in turn transfer into the TfL Pension Fund bringing with them their contributions.

Any further developments to be placed in front of the GGC.

RMT Welcomes Return of 'Power Services' to LUL Following PFI Contract Termination

We welcome the imminent return of Power Services to London Underground following the termination of the Private Finance Initiative contract. We reaffirm our view that all contracted-out sections of London Underground should similarly be brought back in-house.

We instruct the General Secretary to obtain a report from the lead officer on the completion of this transfer, confirming that our members’ rights and conditions have been protected and itemising any outstanding issues.

Alstom Workers Accept 3% No Strings 2013 Pay Deal

Further to our decision Gww 9 July 2013, seeking an improvement on the previous offer of 2.75%, we note the new offer from Alstom of 3% effective from 1 April 2013 with no strings attached. We further note the report from the Regional Organiser, that our representative and members wish to accept this offer without delay.

Accordingly, we instruct the General Secretary to advise the company of our acceptance, and to send a personal letter to all members involved.

RMT Welcomes Reassurances Given Over Closure Of Lillie Bridge Depot

We note the correspondence from London Underground Ltd dated 17 July 2013. We welcome the assurances given, which are clearer than those given previously. We seek a report from the lead officer before responding to the employer’s question about our ongoing dispute on this matter, and instruct the General Secretary to place this in front of us.

Bring CBS Outdoor Back 'In House'

We note the correspondence from London Underground Ltd regarding CBS’s sale of its international outdoor advertising business. We continue to pursue our view that all London Underground work should be brought in-house, and instruct the General Secretary to table this for discussion at the next London Underground Briefing Forum. We further instruct the General Secretary to place this matter back in front of us when the name of the new owner of the CBS Outdoor contract is announced.
