A View Into the Future?!

Paul Jackson, LU Engineering branch secretary writes ...

I had an incident at my local station on Thursday that may be indicative of LUL's future.

I live in a village and caught 2355 train home. My station is reasonably used but often unstaffed late at night. When I got off the train at 0045, there had been a power cut and there was no lighting. When the train left there was no "LIGHT" (in the countryside, dark can mean, can't see hand in front of face dark) whatsoever. Me and 3 others were left stranded, in danger of falling on the track and almost stumbling out of the station by light of a few cell phones

Of course, there were no staff to help, no staff to shut the station even! Is this LUL's future?!
