Day of Action Against McNulty Cuts - Wednesday 21st March 2012

From RMT London Transport Regional Organiser Steve Hedley

We wil be organising a day of action against the McNulty report on Wednesday 21st March 2012 and I call on all our members in London transport region to support our brothers and sisters on the mainline who are fighting for their jobs and conditions and against savage proposals contained in McNulty.

I hope you can spare an hour on the day to help leaflet the public and make them aware of the de-staffing of stations, cuts in engineering jobs, the destruction of guards' posts and cuts in services that are being proposed by the government.

Your branch secretary should be in touch soon with details of what station they propose to leaflet and what times they will be leafleting from.

By helping our colleagues on the mainline railway fight off the dreadful recommendations of the McNulty report, we in London transport will in effect be fighting back against the undeclared McNulty report London Underground want to impose on us, i.e., driverless trains, the abolition of ticket offices and massive cuts in engineering and fleet grades. Please show your support on the 21st.
