WEA Course: Dealing With The Media

Do you want to be more confident dealing with the media?

This course will equip you to understand the media, to develop a basic media strategy, to select which media to target, to make stories appealing to journalists and to give media interviews.

An excellent opportunity for any organisation, group or individual!

3 consecutive Wednesdays: February 26th, March 5th, March 12th - 1pm – 5.30pm (13 hours)

Venue: WEA, 96-100 Clifton St, EC2A 4TP

Cost: £51.35 per attendee

Concessions: free on income related benefit

WEA Course: Employment Law Update

The WEA is running a one day briefing for all union reps, officers and members who want to get up to date with all the latest employment law changes brought in and planned by the Coalition Government.

The day will be a mix of information and also small group activities. Please see the attached leaflet for details about this course.

RMT’s Charles Watkins’ Memorial Lecture 2014

RMT’s guest speaker to deliver this year’s Charles Watkins’ Memorial Lecture will be Labour historian Francis Devine who will be talking on the 1913 Dublin Lockout. For more background information click here.

This promises to provide an interesting lecture and discussion following on from a series of events that will have taken place commemorating the centenary of the lockout.

This free event will be held at Unity House and refreshments will also be provided.

RMT Learning: London Underground Learning Questionnaire

My name is Anna Gichaga and I am a Union Learning Rep for the RMT Union on London Underground. This survey has been designed to collect learning information from our members and other workers on London Underground. Your assistance filling this out will help us to organise information, advice and guidance for all those interested in learning and with sufficient numbers will allow us to arrange a number of courses for all those keen to increase their skills and knowledge. The Time to Train legislation that came in has prompted this survey.
