ISS KAD strike action suspended

Subject: BREACH OF MACHINERY – ISS (KAD CONTRACT)

We note the report from the Lead Officer; that the company have now agreed to enter talks at ACAS.

We suspend the planned strike action for Wednesday 13th June 2018, and instruct members to work normally.

We also note that the ballot mandate expires on Thursday 14th June 2018; and instruct the General Secretary to prepare a new ballot matrix asap.

We remain open for talks with the company.

Jubilee Strike Action for 6th June suspended

Your RMT reps were at ACAS all day today, negotiating with management a deal that would see weekend rest days increased to improve work life balance.

A deal has been reached that will see an extra Saturday rest day put on rosters at Stratford, North Greenwich, and Wembley Park, an improvement from the previous schedules.

In addition a week of talks has been agreed between unions and management on the line, to look at issues with the current schedules and to improve the negotiating process.

Jubilee Line strike suspended

Subject: INTRODUCTION OF WTT15 – TRAIN OPERATORS – JUBILEE LINE, LONDON UNDERGROUND

We note the progress made in dispute talks at ACAS up to today; and that the company has moved considerably toward resolving the dispute they have created.

Accordingly, we suspend strike action due to take place from 00:01 to 23:59 on Wednesday 6th June 2018, and instruct Members to work normally.

The Strike Action already set and notified from 00:01 to 23:59 on Thursday 14th June 2018 remains on and we are available for further talks with the company.

RMT 'Cuba Solidarity' garden party

In association with the Cuba Solidarity Campaign, the 16th RMT Annual Garden Party for Cuba will take place on Wednesday 13th June 2018 at Maritime House, Clapham, London, commencing 7.00pm.

Tickets are now available. This includes a free bar, buffet and music. As usual we will be joined by a number of distinguished guest speakers.

The Garden Party will provide a wonderful opportunity to show solidarity with Cuba with friends from across the Labour and Trade Union movement.

RMT confirms further strike action on DLR in dispute over breakdown in industrial relations

RMT cleaners, security staff and travel safe officers on Docklands Light Railway will be taking part in a further phase of strike action over a comprehensive breakdown in industrial relations, the union confirmed today, as the intransigent attitude of the management continues to refuse to meet and negotiate a settlement.

The workers involved in the dispute are employed by contractor ISS on the KAD contract and will take further strike action as follows:

RMT votes not to affiliate to Labour Party

RMT Special General Meeting agrees to align union towards Labour and encourage its members to be active in the party whilst remaining unaffiliated

Following a consultation with union Branches and Regional Councils a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the RMT has today agreed to a recommendation from the unions National Executive committee to align the RMT towards the Labour Party and encourage its 80,000 plus members to be active in the Labour Party, whilst remaining unaffiliated.
