RMT Defends LU Stations Reps Numbers

RMT General Grades Committee decision about London Underground Machinery of Negotiation and Consutlation:

“We note that following the job- cutting OSP, which reduced the number of Station groups from 42 to 37, London Underground management has unilaterally declared a reduction in the number of RMT representatives. Their action in doing so is completely outside the agreed processes.

The Machinery of Negotiation and Consultation states that:

RMTv: Reinstate Arwyn and Eamonn

The RMT have released a video to explain the reason for balloting members to get our sacked reps, Eamonn Lynch and Arwyn Thomas reinstated.

RMT is balloting for industrial action at London Underground over the victimisation of these two drivers and union reps.

Station Job Cuts-ACAS Review Report back Meeting 24th March 1300-1800 St Aloysius Social Club, Euston

A report back meeting on the ACAS Reviews will be held on the 24th March at St Aloysius Social Club,20 Phoenix Road,Euston.

There will be a presentation/report on the work done to date on the four reviews,Safety,Collective Grievances,Ticket Office and Equalities.

There will be two sittings of these presentations, the first will be at 1300 and the second will be at 1600.

All members,Level 1 Representatives and activists are welcome.

Resolution: Young Members Advisory Committee – Basis of Representation

This resolution submitted by Neasden branch was carried unanimously by the March metting of the Regional Council:

This Regional Council notes the formation of the Young Members Advisory Committee, as per clause 1 of rule 12D.

This branch also notes the inconsistency of the basis of representation between the Young Members advisory committee (1 per region) and the other equal rights advisory committees, governed by rule 12A (5 Per Region).

Resolution: London Underground "Rainbow" Attendance Process

This resolution submitted by Neasden branch was carried unanimously by the March metting of the Regional Council:

That this LRTC notes with concern LU’s demand that some staff must meet a 96% attendance level.

This 96% attendance level has been explained as a part of a ‘Rainbow’ process and has been used against RMT members to threaten further action up to and including medical termination.
