PTI Fiasco: How confident are you in your OPO equipment?
RMT Circular No IR.107/09
MEMBERS' WORKPLACE CONDITIONS, WELFARE & PAY – LONDON OVERGROUND RAIL OPERATIONS LTD
Further to my circular IR95/09 dated 19th March 2009, I can advise you that the General Grades Committee today took the following decision:-
“That we note the enhanced terms in the latest offer from LOROL and that a mass meeting of our members indicated support for acceptance.
We instruct the General Secretary to commence a referendum of our members with a recommendation to vote “yes” to accept the offer.
This new leaflet for duty managers and administrative staff explains how badly the company treats these grades and urges staff to refuse LUL's appeal to them to help break the industrial action. Click '1 attachment' / file name to download it. Read the text below.
Duty Managers and Admin Staff: Join The Fight Stop Being Used!
The Duty Managers' ’Operational Managers Review’ talks have collapsed.
Once again the company are treating you like ‘‘Second Class Citizens’’
This leaflet urges Track Access Controllers to vote Yes in the industrial action ballot. Click '1 attachment' / file name to download it. Read the text below.
Track Access Controllers: Vote Yes To Strike Action
GRADE PROGRESSION!!!
WHAT GRADE PROGRESSION?
The company have told you the money is in the pot and ready for grade progression implementation.
This is clearly not true. It has never been available to go into your pocket as they have told you!
This resolution, proposed by Finsbury Park branch and seconded by Camden 3 branch, was passed unanimously by the Regional Council meeting on 26 March.
We note with increasing concerns the intensification of the attacks on our Cleaning Grade members and Representatives by their Bosses which have led to vindictive sacking spearheaded by ISS.
ISS have now refused to pay the outstanding London Living Wages (LLW) for Cleaning Grade staff working via sub contractors TubeLines and there is no indication that they will pay the LLW for 2009.
For our industrial action ballot of all London Underground and Transport for London members, all RMT reps and activists should:
Talk to every member in your workplace and urge them to vote Yes
Persuade non-members to join RMT
Make sure your area’s membership list is accurate and up-to-date
If any member does not receive a ballot paper, tell them to phone the RMT helpline on 0800-376-3706 - or take their name and membership/NI number, and phone the helpline yourself
