Justice For The 33 Campaign Goes To TFL Head Office

TUBE UNION RMT said today that staff sacked from London Underground’s “Trainpeople” agency contract will be stepping up their fight for jobs and justice following the termination of the deal which has dumped 33 staff on the dole, making a mockery of regulations which were supposed to protect the employment rights of agency staff.

The staff will be taking their fight to Transport for London with a protest in support of “Justice for the 33”at the HQ building Windsor House, Victoria Street on Monday 15th April 2013 between 0800 hours and 1000 hours.

Regional Council Executive Report March 2013

The London Transport Region's Executive Member has given a report to the London Transport region at the recent Regional Council.

For full details all RMT members are invited to come to the meeting.

Regional Council meetings are held at the Exmouth Arms near Euston Station at 1630 on the last Thursday of the month, except June and December.

London Underground 'Business Update' Meetings

We note the report and materials from the ‘Business Update’ meeting with the Managing Director of London Underground Ltd.

We also note that our agreed machinery of negotiation with LUL includes in paragraph 5 the provision that ‘a London Underground Briefing Forum will meet as and when appropriate to provide a forum for consultation on strategic issues relating to the performance, plans and objectives of London Underground’.

Jubilee Line Strike Suspended Following Progress At ACAS Talks

We note the report from our lead officer, and welcome the progress made at ACAS talks.

Accordingly, we instruct the General Secretary to suspend our strike action beginning at 00:01 on Tuesday 2 April.

A report is to be placed in front of us as to whether the dispute is fully resolved within time to allow strike action to be called should it not be resolved.
