Dear member,
This afternoon we met with the Deputy Mayor of London.
The Deputy Mayor has advised me that the removal of contractual sick pay for the ex Vinci TUPED into ABM cleaners ( who had been in receipt of it before the TUPE) has been reversed. This clear injustice has been rectified by the determined effort and activities of the RMT.
We now of course will redouble our efforts and continue the fight for all ABM cleaners to recieve proper Sick pay / Travel benefits / better pensions and pay as well as justice at work.

RMT calls on London mayor to end exploitation of Tube cleaners
The breakdown in Industrial Relations is over a whole catalogue of workplace issues which are listed below.
Subject: BREACH OF MACHINERY – ISS (KAD CONTRACT)
Our ISS members on the DLR KAD contract have taken firm strike action aimed at bringing the company to the negotiations table to resolve this issue; however ISS are belligerently refusing to come to terms with this union.
Therefore; given the lack of response by ISS management to the recent strike, we instruct our ISS members on the Docklands Light Railway: Strike Action
Members not to book on for shifts beginning 05:30hrs on Wednesday 21st March 2018 until 05:29hrs on Thursday 22nd March 2018

MPs call on London Mayor to end exploitation of Tube cleaners as RMT says treatment of workers “shames the capital.”
TUBE UNION RMT has welcomed a motion tabled in Parliament today by MPs calling on Transport for London, which is chaired by the London Mayor, to end the exploitation of Underground cleaners.
The MPs intervention came as RMT cleaners are due to demonstrate outside City Hall later today and RMT General Secretary Mick Cash said in an open letter to the London Mayor that the “continuation of such low workplace standards and conditions shame the capital.”
