6% pay offer accepted by Cable Car members

RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 - DOPPELMAYR CABLE CAR (TFL/0001/DCC)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/341/23, 15th November 2023), further negotiations have now been held and the company has proposed an improved offer of 6% backdated to the pay anniversary of May 2023. This was discussed at a meeting of members last week at which a majority were clearly in favour of accepting. Additionally, representatives canvassed the opinions of those not in attendance and this also showed a majority in favour of accepting the deal.

DLR pay update

Further to my previous Circular (IR/352/23, 24th November 2023), and following talks with the Company at ACAS and the following revised offer has been received:

· A £2,000 underpin to the 5% consolidated proposal already made. The £1,000 non-consolidated payment remains

On Friday last week, before the ballot had even closed, LUL advised us that it was ignoring any of your wishes and that the pay offer would be imposed in January. This has understandably been met with a furious response from you and your colleagues and your Reps have reported overwhelming support for a significant and immediate response.

Number of individuals who were entitled to vote in the ballot: 9723

Number of votes cast in the ballot: 5334   

Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 4827   

Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 505

BALLOT PAPERS OUT TODAY - VOTE 'YES' TO STRIKE OVER PAY

The Union has now advised London Underground that a dispute exists over its failure to table an acceptable pay offer, backdated to your anniversary date in April 2023. Your ballot papers will be posted out today so please look out for them arriving this week and make sure to return your ballot paper as soon as possible. The closing date for the ballot is Tuesday 19th December 2023.

TfL Pension Fund £2billion in surplus

TFL PENSION FUND FUNDING UPDATE - POST 2023 AGM

Following the Annual Members Meeting of the TfL Pension Fund held on 6th October 2023 I can report that we are pleased to be advised by the Trustee's that funding position of this final salary pension schemes continues to remain in excellent shape. I can reveal that based on the latest actuarial report of 31st March 2023 the fund has a surplus of over £2 billion and a funding level of 116.9%.

The current industrial action mandate in this dispute will expire in November and therefore it is now necessary to re-ballot you and your colleagues for a historic fifth time in this dispute.
