ISS KAD breakdown in industrial relations - strike dates announced

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS - ISS (KAD CONTRACT) (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/247/23, 11th August 2023), despite the negotiating team's best efforts, giving the Company every opportunity to resolve key issues at the heart of this dispute, there has not been any resolution to our demands for the 2023 pay claim to be properly addressed or for Night Allowance.

REMOVAL OF DETRAINMENT STAFF - LONDON UNDERGROUND

All Train Operator and Instructor Operator members on the Bakerloo Line, District Line, Central Line, Hammersmith & City Line and Jubilee Line have been taking action to physically check their train before detraining since March 2023. Now due to the anti-trade union laws, this ballot mandate will expire and it is necessary to ballot members again for this action to continue.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/218/23, 14th July 2023) talks have taken place at ACAS this week between the Company and the Assistant General Secretary, Relief Regional Organiser and Negotiating Team, resulting in significant progress in this dispute.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/059/23, 3rd March 2023), the ballot mandate is due to expire and the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to re-ballot all Train Operator and Instructor Operator members on the Bakerloo Line, District Line, Central Line, Hammersmith & City Line and Jubilee Line, for strike action and action short of a strike in the form of Drivers to physically check their train before detraining.

ALSTOM Metro Trains referendum result

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 - ALSTOM METRO TRAINS (LUL/0001/AMT)

In line with Union policy, a claim was submitted to the Company for a substantial increase in rates of pay and improvements to conditions of service. Following talks, with the Company the offer which was received is as follows:

A 5.25% increase to basic rates of pay, effective from 1st April 2023

Assistance with travel costs for a further one year with the cost of an annual season ticket of up to £1,550

Thales pay update

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 - THALES GTS (LUL/0001/T(GTS))

Further to my previous Circular (IR/184/23, 15th June 2023), members rejected the Company's offers in a referendum. The National Executive Committee considered a further report from the Lead Officer and has now taken the decision to conduct separate ballots for signal grades and other grades for strike action and action short of a strike in the form of an overtime and rest day working ban.
