BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, HAMMERSMITH SERVICE CONTROL CENTRE - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

Over recent years, RMT Reps have raised various issues concerning recruitment and retention within Service Control to London Underground. However, management have failed to act to resolve these matters and having considered a report from the Lead Officer, the National Executive Committee has declared a breakdown in industrial relations at Hammersmith Service Control Centre due to the following:-

Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival

Online Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival - 17-19th July 2020

This year's Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival is now taking place online over the weekend of Friday 17th - Sunday 19th July.

Across the weekend there will be various discussions, debates and lectures on topical issues as well as music, comedy and film.

There will also be a virtual wreath-laying, rally and grand procession. Union members can join in by posting pictures of their union banners on social media, and use the hashtag #BannersatTolpuddle

PREGNANCY AND COVID-19 – ADVICE TO MEMBERS
 
Never before have the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999 been so important to pregnant women who work in the transport industry.  Under these regulations:
  1. Employers must try to remove or prevent exposure to risks
  2. If that is not possible, working from home should be allowed
  3. If that is not possible, suitable alternative employment at the same rate of pay should be offered if available
