Your RMT reps met today (13/11/17) with London Underground for the first consultation meeting for the latest phase on Transformation. We raised various issues with them including
Needing clarity on who is in overall charge of the process as each work stream has been assigned a different lead manager
Why ex Tube Lines as well as Fleet and Signals reps have been excluded from the consultation
This morning (7th November) LU are announcing their latest wave of job reorganisations under Transformation. They have made clear from the start their feelings towards the RMT and the other unions. We have only been sent their proposals this morning, minutes before the first staff briefings began.
There are many staff briefings taking place today and your reps will be at as many meetings as possible, although the same briefings are happening at the same time in different locations. So if you don't see us at yours, don't worry, we will have received the same information.
At the latest MATS Functional Council (21/09/17), we raised issues around the Admin Customer Charter. To confirm, the document available is only a draft and has not been agreed by the unions. Management confirmed that this document is NOT to be used as a performance measure or in disciplinary action. They claim it is only guidance.
On 20th September, your MATS reps met with management to ratify the proposed Framework of Agreement for Trains Managers. We have been working on this document for over two years now, so were hopeful to finally get management to agree to sign it off.
Your MATS reps recently met with management to discuss the ongoing issues arising from the creation of the Trains Manager role.
We note the letter from the company imposing this reorganisation on our members and staff in general.
We recognise the extensive work involved in this mater so therefore congratulate our Representatives for successfully mitigating the worse aspects of this restructuring through their negotiations with the company, and remain vigilant!
We instruct the General Secretary to organise a recruitment drive among these grades.

Yesterday, we met with the company for a Director’s Review about proposed changes to trains management. The company refused to acknowledge that anyone’s terms and conditions are being changed and are determined to continue with their imposition date of Sunday 23rd April.
We stated that this is unacceptable and we do not agree with this position. The RMT has insisted from day one that these changes are a change of terms and conditions and the company have refused to engage with proper negotiations with us.
LU management have announced that they will be releasing Train Manager rosters this Sunday 26th March. It therefore remains clear to the RMT that they still have no interest in engaging in meaningful negotiations and plan to impose the new model in 28 days from release of rosters.

Today we met with management to discuss Trains Management. The RMT have requested a meeting at directors level to continue discussions on important issues which we believe have not been addressed. These include changes to terms and conditions and attacks on pensionable pay.
Yesterday (12/01/17), your MATS reps met with the company for the first time since mid-December.
