All Central Line drivers to be balloted for strike in defense of brother Bailey

We congratulate both our Central Line branches for standing firm behind our Brother Paul Bailey, and resisting the stitch up being perpetrated against him by the company who have now upheld his dismissal on appeal and refused to grant the union a Directors Review.

This travesty calls into question the integrity of the entire drugs and alcohol policy and testing regime.

We instruct the General Secretary to immediately ballot our Driver Operators and Operator Instructors at all depots on the Central Line for Strike Action.

Defend Paul Bailey: unfairly sacked after passing a drug test

Paul Bailey, a driver at Leytonstone, remains sacked for passing a random drug and alcohol test.

The Head of Central Line Operations and the manager responsible for hearing Paul’s recent appeal, upheld the crazy CDI decision to dismiss Paul, despite all the evidence.

Blog: overtime scandals, & minimum vs recommended numbers

The past few months have been tough for all staff.
Overtime shifts have not been paid out, which has led to not just frustration, but also financial hardships for a lot of us.

Management has tried to blame this on variation sheets not been filled out correctly. But when the sheets have been checked, they were in the vast majority, correct.

I emailed all staff with the process of how to claim their money owed, but this isn't good enough.

TfL Pension Consultative Committee: vote Sister Parry

That we note the endorsement from our London Transport Regional Council of Sister Jamie Parry for the pending election to the TfL Pension Consultative Committee
Section 2.

This NEC endorses Sister Parry, and instructs the General Secretary to inform all RMT members eligible to vote in the Section 2 election for the TfL Pension Consultative Committee, and render Sister Parry, TfL No 1 Branch and the London Transport Regional Council every reasonable assistance in this important election.

RMT reject derisory Exterion Media pay offer

That we note the report from our Lead Officer and the unacceptable below inflation pay offer from the company to our hard working members. Meeting called over Met Line withdrawal of canteen facilities

That we note the report from our Lead Officer and the correspondence from the company declining to address our concerns and requirements in any way whatsoever.
The position of the company now confirmed in writing regarding their removal of and intention to not provide replacement canteen facilities or arrangements for our driver members sets a precedent which is unacceptable, and a threat to all our driver members on the LU combine.

W&C drivers vote 100% YES for industrial action, smashing Tory anti-union laws

We congratulate our members on the convincing balloting turnout and magnificent yes vote which clearly demonstrates their deep concerns over the imposition of this unsafe practice.

We note that the ballot results are as follows:

The 40% and 50% thresholds were both met.

RMT aims for full re-integration of our Fleet Materials Stores members

We note the concerns of our LU Fleet Branch regarding the deviation from the company’s transformation process regarding re-wiring affecting our Fleet Materials Stores members; and the potential affect on them and other Fleet members.

We instruct the General Secretary to seek an urgent meeting with the company to raise our concerns, objections with the aim of full re-integration of our Fleet Materials Stores members back into the Fleet family.

RMT aims to end outsourcing of core Materials work
