Transformation Drop In Sessions

Last week the LU Transformation reps from all four trade unions hosted a number of drop-in sessions with staff in scope from across all work streams. These sessions were booked at short notice, yet were very well attended. The company committed to releasing all staff to attend, so if you had any issue with this, please let your rep know and we'll insist that you are released for future sessions. On behalf of all of the reps, thank you for attending and the valuable feedback we received from you, which we can use to shape the upcoming consultation meetings with the company.

RMT asks management to reconsider offer to leapfrogged Night Tube drivers

UPDATE ON LEAP-FROGGED DRIVERS DIRECTORS MEETING.

Today the RMT and ASLEF met with Management concerning the leap-frogged drivers situation.

Management put a proposal that all 23 affected leap-frogged drivers would receive a days pay for every week that they were leap-frogged.

Management said that this was a "gratis payment" as the leap-frogged drivers did not work full-time during this period and it would be unfair to pay them for work that they never did.

RMT Upfront late December 2017

RMT Upfront is the newsletter for London Underground drivers, from the RMT.  In this edition, which focuses on health and safety issues:

Changes to CDP

Your Health & Safety commitee reps have recently attended a meeting with Learning and development with regard to changes to the Continuous Development Program. We were initially concerned that management were going to try to cut / water it down. This appears not to be on the cards at the moment. Although we still have issues with a number of lines only getting the 4 day rather than the 5 day to complete this vital refresher training.

Today (23/11/17), your reps met with London Underground to begin Transformation consultation. We were presented with a number of slideshows, which were a condensed version of the business case. These covered Power & Electrical, Signals, Track, Stations Buildings & Civil, Asset Systems & Reliability, Network Planning & Services and Asset Operations Admin.

Yesterday (22/11/17), your reps met with London Underground to begin Transformation consultation. We were presented with a slideshow, which was a condensed version of the business case. Unfortunately, as with all other work streams, the number of people in scope, as well as the potential job losses, did not match on any of the documents the company have given us.

Skills Development Transformation

On Monday 20/11/17, your reps were due to meet with London Underground to begin Transformation consultation. Unfortunately, the company scheduled three meetings on Monday and Skills Development was due to be the third. Despite us raising our concerns that they were not allowing enough time for each meeting, these were ignored to suit the management team consulting on Skills Development.
