BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – THALES TRANSPORT & SECURITY (GTS) (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/144/15, 4th June 2015), the revised GTS Rostering Rules and Guidelines, which represent an improvement on previous agreements, have been received. This matter has been considered by the General Grades Committee, which has noted the views of our Reps, and the Company has been informed of our acceptance of this agreement.

Transplant Drivers Compulsory Overtime Issue Pregresses

COMPULSORY OVERTIME, TRANSPLANT DRIVERS (RUISLIP DEPOT) – TUBE LINES (LUL/8/10)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/144/15, 4th June 2015) and following discussions with management, this matter has been resolved and transplant trains paths will be rewritten to enable members to finish their shift at the correct time. This matter has been considered by the General Grades Committee, which has noted the reports on file and taken the decision to continue to monitor the situation.

Pay And Night Tube Ballot Result Members' Meeting

Further to my previous Circular (IR/150/15, 15th June 2015), members will be aware that we are currently conducting a number of ballots for London Underground members including the above over the unacceptable pay offer from management and the associated compensation and recognition for members in respect of Night Tube. RMT General Secretary warns of major battles ahead over cuts, jobs and privatisation as union conference enters first full day in Newcastle.

The General Secretary of the transport union RMT will warn delegates at the first full day of the union's AGM in Newcastle today that the entire Labour Movement will need to stand united in the face of massive threats to services, jobs and union rights from the newly elected Tory Government.

The Bakerloo Branch of the RMT represents and organises members of all operational grades on the Bakerloo Line. This includes station staff, train drivers and service controllers. We also have members from the old British Rail Hotels.

The Bakerloo Branch is responsible for the effective union organisation on the Bakerloo Line. The Branch is the first port of call for members who need assistance.

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 16:00 hours, upstairs at the Coach and Horses, 1 Great Marlborough Street, London W1F 7HG, near Oxford Circus tube.

RMT Action Sees End Of Low Paid Cleaners Being Charged For Protective Equiptment

CHARGING FOR PPE EQUIPMENT BY AGENCIES

It was made known to me that some agencies who currently provide staff to Interserve were charging their employees for the PPE they are required to wear to carry out duties for London Underground whilst working for Interserve.

Information received suggested that they were being charged £35 for boots, which can only be purchased from the agency, £5 for bump hats, £5 for Hi Vi vest, as well as being charged for overalls and safety goggles.
