RMT members working on London Underground stations are taking strike action today because London Underground management will not take the action needed to address a crisis on our tube stations.

Further to my circular IR/395/16 of 19^th December 2016, the NEC further considered the matter just before Christmas. Having met with our reps to discuss the dispute the NEC decided to suspend the industrial action called from Christmas Eve.  However the action called for Monday 9^th January 2017 remains on.

Following last month’s ballot result in favour of taking industrial action, RMT’s National Executive Committee has taken the decision to call action and instructs ALL LUL STATION & REVENUE members:

So the big TfL/London Underground lie is exposed for the sham that it is. Tube workers now know that money is not the issue; there's loads of it. White collar TfL staff, many of whose jobs are already under threat as a result of Tory government cuts and the new Mayor's spending review, are being bribed in an attempt to undermine LU station staff's industrial action.

This afternoon myself and senior RMT Stations reps, alongside TSSA, attended talks at ACAS with LUL. This was the first meeting since last week's ACAS talks and also our first meeting since the reps meeting yesterday.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/337/16, 10^th November 2016), regarding London Underground’s proposal to remove the DTSM and TOSM grades and replace them with a new grade called Trains Manager, a Reps meeting has taken place and discussions with LUL are on-going in relation to proposed pay bands, locations and other matters.
