Fleet Branch calls for renewed push for pension parity with London Underground for former Tube Lines workers

Please find below a resolution submitted by the LU Fleet Branch:

This branch notes that it has now been 10 months since any meaningful discussions regarding the issue of TFL pensions for Tube Lines staff and ex Tube Lines staff who have TUPE transferred to TFL/LUL. Discussions were put on hold so that talks regarding Night Tube could take place.

TfL pension fund – non pensionable pay awards

The following resolution has been received from the TfL No.1 Branch:

“TfL No. 1 Branch are concerned that as a result of TfL/LUL managements decision to award certain layers of staff with pay for performance pay increases, union members are seeing their future pension benefits eroded.

We request that the General Secretary carries out a proper investigation into this position as a matter of urgency so that future pay and conditions negotiations see pay increases linked to basic pay and not awards of one off lump sum payments.

RMT prepared to defend unfairly sacked disabled Bond Street station worker

DISMISSAL, R. GARD, CSA, BOND STREET – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/4/1)

The following resolution was recently received from our Central Line West Branch:-

“This Branch notes the case of CSA Rachel Gard, from Bond Street, who was sacked for having a disability, Type 1 Diabetes. This Branch further notes the harassment Rachel has also received. This Branch calls the GGC to ballot on the following, with a view for full reinstatement.

Track workers to be balloted for strike

TRACK PATROLLING, CLESHAR STAFF – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/1)

The following resolution was recently received from our LU Engineering Branch:-

“This Branch notes that LUL have decided to train Cleshar’s staff to undertake track patrolling. This is a clear breach of agreements and a direct attack on the internal staffs’ job security and direct casualisation. We therefore ask the General Grades Committee to ballot all operational permanent way track staff for industrial action and action short of strike”.

RMT accepts Power Distribution Group Framework Agreement

FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT FOR THE POWER DISTRIBUTION GROUP – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/0005)

Following many months of talks with LUL, it has now tabled a new Framework Agreement for the Power Distribution Group which will be applicable to all new staff and for existing staff that choose to take a new grade or accept the new contract. Existing staff can remain on their existing terms and conditions if they wish.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/256/15, 22nd October 2015), where I informed you that the Union would be conducting a referendum amongst our Train Operator and Instructor Operator members over discussions regarding trial arrangements for a 36 hour 4 day week at two depots.
 

RMT making preparations for ballot to defend brother Hart

DISCIPLINARY, GLEN HART – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/4/4)

Following a resolution submitted earlier this year by Morden & Oval Branch regarding possible disciplinary action against Brother Hart, the Lead Officer has been keeping the case under review and the General Grades Committee took the decision to prepare for a ballot for strike action if Glen Hart receives a disciplinary warning for carrying out trade union activities.

RMT Agrees Bombardier Pay Offer

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2015/2016 – BOMBARDIER TRANSPORTATION (SSR & VLU) TRAIN SERVICES TECHNICIANS (LUL/0001/BT(S&V)

In line with Union policy, a claim was submitted for a substantial increase in rates of pay and improvements to conditions of service. Following discussions, the Company has signed a Memorandum of Agreement for Train Services Technicians, including a pay offer in full and final settlement of the 2015 and 2016 pay review, effective from 1st May 2015.
