RMT To Launch Recruitment Campaign To Fight Interserve Job Cuts

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – INTERSERVE (LUL SSL/BCV CONTRACT) (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/211/15, 3rd September 2015), the Lead Officer and our Reps held a meeting with Interserve over the cuts in cleaning jobs on this contract. The Company advised that a number of positions will be cut but that all reductions will be made up wholly of agency staff.

RMT To Continue Campaign Against TfL Pay Offer

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2013-2015 – TRANSPORT FOR LONDON (TFL/0001)

As you will be aware, TfL members have been in dispute with the Company and taking on going industrial action short of strike action (see Circular No. IR/236/15, 1st October 2015 “Pay for Performance, Defend your Pensionable Pay – Transport for London”).

However in the meantime, the Company advised us of the following arrangements in respect of the 2013/14 pay review:-

·         There will not be a salary increase for 2013/14.

ISS Cleaners Reps Meeting To Discuss Near 4% Pay Rise

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2015 – ISS (TUBE LINES AP JNP CONTRACT) (LUL/0001/ISS(TL))

In line with Union policy, a claim was submitted for a substantial increase in rates of pay and improvements to conditions of service. The Company then advised that it has implemented the changes to the London Living Wage with effect from 1st April 2015. As a result, all Operatives’ pay was increased from £8.80 per hour to the new minimum rate of £9.15 per hour, which is a 3.97% increase.

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2015 – INTERSERVE FACILITIES (KEOLIS AMEY DOCKLANDS CONTRACT) (DLR/0001/I(KAD))

Further to my previous Circular (IR/181/15, 31st July 2015), RMT members working for Interserve (KAD) took part in a third round of strike action in respect of the above dispute and the Branch Secretary and RMT Rep recently met the new management to discuss the issues in this long-running dispute. They were promised a response from the Company but to date, there has still been no response received.

All TfL members are commended for refusing to accept the Company’s “Pay for Performance” proposals. The on-going industrial action short of a strike as below is solidly supported and I urge all TfL members to continue taking part in the following industrial action:-

Further to my previous Circular (IR/224/15, 23rd September 2015), and following further correspondence from the Lead Officer and Branch Secretary, the General Grades Committee has taken the decision to inform the Company that we are in dispute and to organise a ballot of members working for KAD for strike action and action short of strike action over a catalogue of issues, which are outlined below.
