RMT Tube Lines members vote by massive majority for action in Night Tube pay and pensions dispute
Submitted by Admin on 24 May, 2016 - 20:16Tube union RMT confirmed today that a ballot of Tube Lines maintenance and engineering staff over Night Tube, pay and pensions has recorded an overwhelming vote for action.
Over 85% voted for strike action with an even larger majority for action short of a strike.
LUL and Tube Lines representatives meeting

- Breach of core work agreement, contracting out & subcontractors fleet grades – LUL
- closure of lillie bridge depot – London Underground.
The National Executive Committee has called an all-grades Representatives meeting on the above two issues which it views as being an attack on members’ terms and conditions and future job prospects.
The meeting will take place at 10.30 hours in the Unison Building, Euston Road (very near Chalton Street) on Tuesday 7th June 2016

I recently received the following resolution from our LU Fleet Branch:
“Unjustified disciplinary action was taken against members at Northfields Depot after a shunting incident where a signal was passed at danger.

RMT to Ballot 1500 Tube maintenance workers over Night Tube and pensions

Tube union RMT confirmed today that a ballot for action involving nearly 1500 Tube Lines maintenance and engineering staff over Night Tube pay and pensions will open today - Tuesday 3rd May - and close on Tuesday 24th May 2016.
RMT preparing for ballot over Fleet agreement breach

Lillie Bridge Depot dispute update

As Branches and members may recall (Circular No. IR/584/13, 7th October 2013), agreement was reached to resolve the previous dispute with London Underground in 2013 over the proposed closure of Lillie Bridge Depot. However, it now seems that this agreement has been breached and I have recently received the following resolution from our LU Engineering Branch:-
“Ballot of all RMT members in Lillie Bridge Depot and those affected. Lillie Bridge Depot Closure and Breach of LU Company Council Agreement.
