Poposed mass dumping and exploitation of workers by ABM unacceptable

Subject: STAFFING LEVELS – ABM (LONDON UNDERGROUND CONTRACT)

That we note the report from the Lead Officer that ABM are to shed hundreds and hundreds of jobs and are seeking to reduce the work force by almost a third.

This proposed bare-faced mass dumping and exploitation of workers by ABM is totally unacceptable to our union as it will result in both huge amounts of cleaners losing their jobs and an over onerous workload for those who are left behind to do the work.

The RMT will resist this outrage by all means at our disposal.

We instruct the General Secretary to keep the NEC advised on all developments on this matter.

Members to be advised by email and text.

All branches and the London Transport Regional Council to be advised.
