What is a National Executive Committee decision?
This article is an 'executive decision' which has been written by the RMT National Executive Committee. The National Executive is the union's governing body in between AGMs. Its decisions set out what the union will do on a particular issue.

We note the report from our Regional Organiser, and that LUL has agreed to place telephones at 60m intervals through the relevant section of the Jubilee line during the tunnel relining, to enable the discharge of traction current in an emergency. This is similar to the arrangement on the Heathrow loop, and is acceptable to our representatives.
We congratulate our representatives and members on their determination to achieve a safe process during this work, without which workers and passengers would have been placed in serious danger. This victory has been achieved through persistent representation, the willingness of members to take industrial action, and unity between RMT and ASLEF.
We instruct the General Secretary to send a personal letter to all driver members on the Jubilee line, and to include an article in RMT News.
