RMT to Co-ordinate Campaigns for Olympic Justice

RMT General Grades Committee decision:

We note the report from our lead officer, that Tube Lines cancelled the Company Council meeting due to take place today, apparently on the request of London Underground Ltd. We suggest to LUL that if it wishes to run Tube Lines, then it acquire Tube Lines and fully integrate it.

We further note that we currently have several disputes in the London Transport region concerning the Olympics (and other issues), and we wish to explore possibilities for strengthening our campaigns through co-ordinating action. We therefore instruct the General Secretary to convene a meeting of appropriate representatives of each of the workforces involved, together with the lead officer(s) and GGC member(s). This meeting is to take place within 14 days, and a report to be placed in front of us thereafter.

This matter to be placed in front of us in the event of any developments.

London Transport Regional Council and branches to be advised.
