RMT executive to consider next steps over pay and Night Tube following meeting of reps
RMT London Transport Region reps and activists met today to discuss London Underground's latest pay offer.
RMT General Secretary Mick Cash said:
“Today was the first opportunity for RMT reps to come together to consider the revised offer on Night Tube and pay and conditions received from London Underground last week.
“The feedback from the meeting is that the offer has not matched up to the expectations of our members across the combine and falls short in a number of key areas. That feedback will now be considered by the unions executive committee who will make decisions on the next steps that RMT will follow over the Night Tube and pay and conditions issues.
“External attempts to apply pressure on RMT’s internal democracy and processes will have no impact on our procedures whatsoever.”

RMT members employed by Carlisle Support Services, working on the Northern rail contract will continue their long-running dispute over pay by taking 48 hours strike action from Saturday.
Rail union RMT, will take strike action at Heavy Haul Rail Ltd on Thursday 25 June for 48 hours, after the company refused to rule out compulsory redundancies as part of a major restructuring programme.
Rail workers and industry skills leaders have called for a workforce strategy under Great British Railways, warning that fragmentation, short-term funding cycles and a narrow focus on cutting labour costs are holding back productivity across the railway.
General Secretary Eddie Dempsey said: “The launch of this consultation is a necessary and welcome step towards ending the race to the bottom that has blighted much of the ferry sector for far too long.
