DEFENDING JOBS, PENSIONS & AGREEMENTS - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/341/23, 15th November 2023), the Union has been in discussions with LUL regarding the Company's plans to introduce a trial of the use of iPads by Instructor Operators on LUL Trains.

This matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee and I have written to LUL to reiterate that RMT is opposed to any such trial of this nature and that the Union considers this move to be a step towards imposing Trains Modernisation.

We remain in dispute over the Company's wider cuts agenda and I have stated to LUL that any discussions over this matter should take place under the appropriate forum at ACAS. I will keep Branches advised of all further developments.
