Strike action announced in Paul Bailey unfair sacking dispute

Subject: DISMISSAL, P. BAILEY – LONDON UNDERGROUND That we note the resolution from our Central Line East Branch; and applaud their resolve to continue fighting the scandalous sacking of Bro Bailey for NOT failing a drugs & alcohol test; which even the company now have reluctantly admitted is concerning so much so that they are to be undertaking a review of their whole D&A procedure. The only rational and just course of action is the re-instatement of Bro Paul Bailey, and our members will not sit back and allow this injustice to continue; but are demanding further strike action on the Central Line and a combine wide Train Operators ballot following numerous demands from other branches across the tube combine. Accordingly, we instruct all Central Line Train Operators and Operator Instructors to take Strike Action by not booking on for shifts between: 20:00 hours on Friday 21st December and 02:00 hours on Saturday 22nd December 2018. 04:00 hours and 20:00 hours on Saturday 22nd December 2018. Further, we instruct the General Secretary to arrange an urgent meeting of all Train Operator Industrial Reps from the entirety of the tube network, with the NEC, Lead Officer and Senior Assistant General Secretary in attendance. Members to be advised by email and text. All operational branches and the London Transport Regional Council to be advised.
