Drivers on the District and H&C lines should be aware that, from Friday 27th September 2019, RMT Stations members on the East End of the District Line are starting industrial action over violence, staff assaults and lone-working.

The action is to not attend on-train incidents or detrain without the assistance of a second member of staff. Therefore, there may be times where station staff are delayed or unable to attend your train between Bromley-by-Bow and Upminster Bridge.

If no assistance is available and you do not feel safe to respond to an incident on your train, remain within your cab and contact Service Control for further assistance.

Every member of staff has the right to be safe at work and to a secure place of safety. Do not put yourself at risk
