Station staff Night Tube meeting
  • Please download the attached poster for Zoom meeting details.

The recent TfL financial review has made it clear to all London Underground members that we are all going to have to fight hard for our jobs, terms and conditions, pensions and benefits. The government, the Mayor’s office and London Underground management are determined that the financial burden of the COVID 19 crisis will fall on London’s workers in general and on London Underground staff in particular.

For Night Tube staff, there is even greater uncertainty. Night tube services have been suspended since March 18th 2020. Despite a stated plan to bring the service back in spring 2021, January saw a new announcement that the service will remain suspended for the time being.

LU have stated that the suspension will not be permanent and that "when London needs it and when we can safely and sustainably support it”. Although Night Tube stations staff are working their normal hours, the continued suspension of the service has left a number of questions unanswered.

RMT have pressed our clear demands that any work outside contracted hours must be strictly voluntary and our members must not be expected to pay for the pandemic.

Since Night Tube began, the RMT has fought against Lone working and for staff health and safety. It’s time to put these items back at the top of the agenda!

A zoom meeting has been arranged for Night Tube Station Staff to raise their concerns and discuss their desired response with company council industrial and health and safety reps. The meeting will discuss the following:

  • The current crisis and what it may mean for the future for night tube station staff:
  • Lone working:Workplace Safety:
  • Contact arrangements for Night Tube workers
  • Timing for future meetings
