Industrial action called in 'Train Prep' dispute

Subject: EXTENDED TRAIN PREPARATION SCHEDULE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

That we note the decision of the LU Fleet Branch meeting and their concerns around both training candidates and trainers being forced to undertake training to do the before; resulting in our loyal members refusing to break a strike and being locked out of work without any pay by the company.

RMT goes into dispute over 'Transformation' cuts plan

Dear Branches, Region & Reps,

Please find attached above a copy of the dispute letter sent today to Jean Cockerill HR Director informing the company we are now in dispute over their failing to consult/negotiate properly over Transformations job cuts etc, and that we have withdrawn from the process and withdrawn our reps.

RMT plan ABM recruitment video

Subject: RMT Nationally Resourced Cleaners Recruitment Drive ABM on LUL

That we note the London Transport Regional Council has agreed to fund the production of a recruitment video for our ABM cleaning grades on the underground on the basis that the union nationally make a substantial contribution.

Unless Tube pay offer is significantly improved it is likely a dispute situation will exist

Subject: RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2019 LONDON UNDERGROUND

That we note the report from the Lead Officer on yesterday’s pay talks where the company advised us that we must withdraw all items of our pay claim in return for a
one year bare RPI offer of 2.5% (RPI February 2019).

This is a derisory offer and manoeuvre by London Underground and is unacceptable to this union. Accordingly; we instruct the General Secretary to:  

Central Line ballot result smashes anti union laws and demonstrates resolve to bring LU back in-line!

Subject: BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, CENTRAL LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

We note that the ballot results are as follows:

Hainault Depot
The result for strike action is as follows:-
Number of members balloted: 35
Total votes cast 19 (54.3%)
Number voting “Yes” 19 (54.3%)
Number voting “No” 0
Spoilt Papers 0
The 40% and 50% thresholds were both met.

Harvinder Billing must be re-instated!

Subject: DISMISSAL, HARVINDER BILLING, CSA2, HEATHROW –LONDON UNDERGROUND

That we note the views of yesterday’s reps meeting regarding the dismissal by the company of Bro Harvinder for allegedly not carrying out procedure around ticket office accounting, when the cash handling devices are riven with faults; and resulting discrepancies in accounting are rife as a result but that no adequate training exists for addressing these instances.

RMT tells LU: do not discipline Sister Kyei-Donokoh or we will be in dispute

"if any disciplinary sanction whatsoever is given to sister Kyei-Donokoh at her CDI outcome tomorrow a dispute will exist"

Subject: DISCIPLINARY. S. KYEI-DONKOH, CSA, PICCADILLY CIRCUS – LONDON UNDERGROUND

That we note the decision of Yesterday’s reps meeting regarding the appalling treatment by the company of sister Sophie Kyei-Donokoh, who after being abused by
a repeat offending member of the public, has been put through a sham of the disciplinary procedure on a Gross Misconduct charge by the company.

Victoria Line in dispute over unacceptable breakdown of industrial relations

Subject: BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, VICTORIA LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

That we note the resolution from our Finsbury Park Branch regarding them unacceptable breakdown in industrial relations on the Victoria Line.

We instruct the General Secretary to inform the company that we are now in dispute; and arrange a meeting of Victoria Line Train Ops IR and H&S Representatives, Branch Officers with the Senior Assistant General Secretary, Lead Officer (if available) and members of the NEC in attendance.
