New TfL pay offer rejected

Further to my previous Circular (IR/189/16, 7th July 2016), the Lead Officer met again with the Company and a slightly improved base pay offer was made, which is now 1% backdated to 1st April 2016, up from the previous 0.75%.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/144/16, 19th May 2016), the Company was informed that a dispute situation existed between us over the above issue and the following resolution has now been received from our LU Fleet Branch:-

“This Branch calls upon the National Executive Council to call a ballot for strike action and for action short of a strike for all LU Fleet members.

Following months of talks in which RMT has out the issue of avoiding multiole displacements following FftF, LU has finally issued a revised proposla that guarantees no-one will be displaced sideways. What this means is that anyone covering down one grade can only be displaced into their permanent substantive position. This removes the threat, contained in all of LU's T&P proposals until now, that members could be dislaced up to five times as LU shuffled us about to get rid of cover downs and over establishment positions.

Further to my previous Circular (Ref: IR/212/16, 29th July 2016), I advised you of the magnificent vote of our members in favour of taking industrial action. A subsequent meeting of our relevant representatives was held at Unity House at which it was reported that the two disciplinary cases had now been dealt with at the appeal stage and our members were happy with the outcome.
