RAIL UNION RMT today confirmed a further six days of strike action by Eurostar cleaners working at St Pancras International for contractors the Carlisle Group in an increasingly bitter dispute over pay, the introduction of routine staff fingerprinting, redundancies and the victimisation and harassment of RMT union reps.
RMT Eurostar cleaners will strike on the following dates:
05:30 hours on Friday 2nd October 2009 and 05:29 hours on Saturday 3rd October 2009. 05:30 hours on Sunday 4th October 2009 and 05:29 hours on Monday 5th October 2009.

This Regional Council notes that our members continue to experience oppressive treatment at work, including: over-the-top disciplinary punishments, harsh attendance policies, heavy workloads, management pressure and bullying.

This region believes that before any further industrial action on the outstanding issues in our current dispute with LUL, there should be a new ballot or referendum of all members involved.
We also believe that before the union accepts any pay offer from LUL management, there must be a reps’ meeting and a referendum of all members.
TUBE UNION RMT announced today that staff on London Underground’s Victoria Line will stage a 24 hour strike from 21.30 hours on Monday 5th October to 21.29 hours on Tuesday 6th October in a dispute over the imposition of new rosters that significantly increase the workload on staff.
