Dear Colleagues,

CONSULTATION AND BRIEFING FORUM FOR 2012 OLYMPICS

LUL have advised me of their belief that that there would be a benefit in having a forum, separate from the Company Council, whereat the Unions could be regularly briefed about the 2012 developments and, where appropriate, consulted over relevant issues.

They go on to say that the first steps in setting up such a forum would need to be agreeing its membership, terms of reference and any other governance / procedural issues given that the Forum may well need to operate for a number years. They have undertaken to develope their proposals more fully before formally tabling them at Company Council.

We of course will have our own points of view of all this and I will report further in due course.
