RMT fighting for 'proper pay award and genuine improvements to your terms and conditions'

Dear Colleagues,

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2019 - LONDON UNDERGROUND

As you are aware, RMT is currently in dispute with LUL over the lack of a forthcoming suitable pay offer from the Company and LUL is aware that we are currently preparing to ballot you all for industrial action, up to and including strike action across the network, over this matter. We have made it abundantly clear to the Company that we will not rest until all LUL members get a proper pay award and genuine improvements to your terms and conditions.

To provide an update your Lead Officer and Reps met with management at ACAS today. Your negotiating team made strong representations to London Underground to table an offer which would meet our aspirations and reflect what you deserve for the hard work and commitment shown to keep the network running successfully.

Following the talks today, I am disappointed there is not yet a revised offer to report to you but London Underground has committed to respond to us more fully next week either with a revised written offer or at further talks. I will of course write to you again as soon as any developments occur and I will also be arranging a mass members’ meeting to consider our response at this stage.

In the meantime, please continue to ensure that all members check their membership records are correct. If your job title, home address or workplace has recently changed, please contact the RMT Helpline on 0800 376 3706 or the RMT switchboard on 0207 387 4771 and ask to speak to the Industrial Relations Department. Alternatively, you can e-mail your change of membership details to info@rmt.org.uk

Yours sincerely
