PAY

  • London Underground – The latest offer is Y1 4.75% Y2-5 RPI+0.25%, very little on conditions; RMT rejected (see decision); other unions indicated they would reject too
  • EDF Powerlink – the latest offer is Y1 4.5%, Y2-5 RPI+0.25%; RMT rejected (see decision)
  • Tube Lines (Stratford Market, ex-Alstom) – accepted 2-year deal of Y1 5.6%; Y2 RPI+0.5% (min. 0.5%); changes to rosters to be subject to negotiations

RMT Reveals That McNulty Was Paid Nearly A Quarter Of A Million Pounds For Rail Carve Up Report

RAIL UNION RMT revealed today that Sir Roy McNulty was paid nearly quarter of a million pounds by the Government for writing his “rail review” report that, if implemented, would lead to savage cuts in staffing number and huge increases in fares as the private train companies are given a free run to plunder the network for even greater profits.

Demonstration To Be Held To Defend Bombardier Derby Works

SAVE UK TRAIN MAKING MASS MARCH AND RALLY THIS SATURDAY

Tens of thousands of trade unionists are expected to be out on the streets of Derby this Saturday (23rd July) in a mass march and rally to save the last train-building plant in the UK - Bombardiers Derby works.
The march will assemble at Bass’s Recreation Ground, Derby (DE1 2PB) (Map.) at 10am and is supported by RMT, Unite, GMB and TSSA.

London Underground management have tabled an improved offer for the 2011 pay award. Having considered this offer your General Grades Committee has made the following decision that “we reject the latest pay offer from London Underground."

That we welcome the verbal report from our Branch Secretary that the elections to the vacant representatives’ positions have now taken place to the satisfaction of our branch. We note, however, that elections for health and safety representatives are outstanding, and instruct the General Secretary to pursue this with the employer.
