Meeting called to debate train prep schedule changes

TRAIN PREPARATION SCHEDULE - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/10)

The following resolution has been received from our East Ham Branch:-

“This branch notes the very dangerous intention by LU to change the train preparation schedule from every 24 hours to every 96 hours. London Underground are saying that this is as safe as 24 hours. No safety related submission has been provided to back this up. The company will effectively be running a train service with a large percentage of its train service unchecked for four days at a time.

Elizabeth Line station meeting called to discuss serious concerns

The following resolution has been received from our East Ham Branch:-

“This branch notes the flagrant ignorance of safety issues at Elizabeth Line stations that interact with LUL. These being Whitechapel, Tottenham Court Rd, Bond Street, Moorgate, Paddington and Farringdon.

We note the resolution from our East Ham Branch and the concerns held by them and many others regarding the company’s proposed move to extend the prep of train
units by our Fleet Train Maintainers from 24hrs to 96hrs!

We also note the upcoming joint Tier 2 meeting on 18 th May between our Fleet and Trains Health & Safety Reps with management.

Elizabeth Line safety concerns raised

We note the serious safety concerns in the resolution from our East Ham Branch; and instruct the General Secretary to call a meeting of H&S Reps from affected
lines/stations, the Lead Officer/Relief Lead Officer, Senior Assistant General Secretary and NEC.

Relevant branches and the London Transport Regional Council to be advised.

RMT have not agreed new CSA2 document

Dear all Stations and Revenue Staff,

This afternoon, Friday 9th of March, a communication has been sent out on the intranet titled “explaining the CSA2 role.“

RMT and TSSA members of the Station's Safety Council have been negotiating this document for many months now.

The document sent out today is COMPLETELY unagreed whatsoever with either trade union. Furthermore we where not even shown a copy of prior to it being published.

RMT Executive responds to Finsbury Park branch Night Tube motion

Subject: LONDON UNDERGROUND – NIGHT TUBE SAFETY

We note the resolution from our Finsbury Park Branch regarding the unsatisfactory treatment of our members, the failure of the company to adhere to their agreements and the resulting call for a ballot for industrial action, and refer this matter into our Southern Sub Committee for examination and report.
