We note the resolution from our LU Engineering Branch regarding the appalling treatment of our members in Asset Operations when it comes to recognising the severe impact that Christmas working has on family life.
We also note that payments are available for all or part of this period in other areas such as Major Projects, Tube Lines and for Train Drivers and this NEC agree with our branches demand at least parity and recognition for working these days.
RMT Tube cleaners demonstrated outside City Hall this to protest against poor pay and conditions as a result of outsourcing.
Post-agreement Joint Initiatives Drivers’ Dispute
The RMT met with LUL at ACAS today, October 12th, to continue talks about the post-agreement joint initiatives; Aslef reps also present. This meeting concentrated on pro-rata working, and in particular an interim proposal for 4 day a week pro-rata working.
PROPOSED TUPE TRANSFER OF AP JNP FROM TUBE LINES TO LONDON UNDERGROUND LTD (formerly Termination of Amey Maintenance Contract – Tube Lines AP JNP)
We note the correspondence from the company dated 14th September 2017 and instruct the General Secretary to place a report before this NEC.
Further, we instruct the General Secretary to arrange a meeting of all infrastructure, maintenance and engineering reps from London Underground BCV, SSL and JNP AP with the Lead Officer, Senior Assistant General Secretary and NEC members.
