TFL bosses cut long service award

LONG SERVICE AWARDS AND RETIREMENT – TRANSPORT FOR LONDON (TFL/18/1)

In 2013, TfL cut the award from 25 years’ service from £350 to £250 and increased the award for 40 years’ service from £600 to £700 (Circular No. IR/454/13, 1st August 2013).

TfL has recently written again to advise that the 40 year award will reduce from £700 to £500 for those whose anniversary is on or after 1st April 2017. The 25 year award is unchanged at £250 and those receiving long service awards from 1stApril 2017 will also be able to access a new online catalogue where there is a greater selection of e-vouchers and gift cards.

This matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee which has referred it to the Southern Sub-Committee for consideration. I will keep Branches advised of all further developments.
