Tube pay dispute meeting called as latest offer falls short

8th October 2019

Dear Colleague

RATE OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2019 - LONDON UNDERGROUND

Further to my circular IR/336/19 of 23rd August 2019 where I informed you of the revised offer from London Underground resolutions have been received from the Piccadilly & District West Branch, Bakerloo Line Branch and TFL No1 & LUL MATS Grades Branch, all strongly rejecting the offer.

Our National Executive Committee have noted the resolutions and reject the current offer as clearly not meeting the RMT's key demands. It is an insult that at a time when London Underground has an operating surplus that our hard working members who deliver the service have not been offered a fair pay deal.

Consequently, I am arranging a meeting of all LUL Reps, the Lead Officer, Senior Assistant General Secretary and members of the NEC to consider the situation with negotiations with the company and the necessary measures to escalate the dispute to achieve a fair pay deal that meets with members' aspirations.

I will keep you fully informed of further developments.

Yours sincerely,
