As part of Connect radio ‘Phase 2’ implementation a number of changes were made to safety critical procedures. The most notable of these was authority to pass a semi-automatic signals using secure radio communications. There were many publications, notices and briefings pertaining to the new procedure.

In a way, there was a poor relation, a new procedure that was somewhat overshadowed: wrong direction moves!

As you are all aware, CMS was introduced for Duty Managers in September this year and will eventually replace your blue licence, at the minute it validates it. CMS will assess you continuously throughout the year to ensure you are competent to do your job.

However at the last MATS meeting where we were given a presentation of CMS we discovered that management had put, the grade progression model for Duty Managers in the CMS booklet.

We need unity across all grades to win

RMT has called further strike action in our campaign to protect thousands of jobs, secure a proper pay rise for our members and end management bullying and harrassment.

Euston, Paddington, Brixton, Victoria and Kings Cross are the latest stations which are trialling the five pounds minimum top up of oyster cards.
