Dear colleague
JUSTICE FOR ABM CLEANERS
As you may know, RMT is currently in dispute with ABM in our campaign for “Justice for ABM Cleaners.”
Yesterday, 26th June 2019, your Regional Organiser John Leach along with RMT ABM representatives met the company's Contract Director and his HR team face to face to demand improvements on the key issues at stake in this dispute:
- Free Staff Travel
- Decent Company Sick Pay
- Access to a direct pension scheme, same as the TfL pension scheme

Subject: BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, CENTRAL LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND
That we note the resolve from our Central Line Driver members to bring the company to the table and that to resolve this dispute strike action now looks likely depending upon the coming meeting with the new line management.
We place this matter in the Southern Sub-Committee for examination and report.
Central Line East & West branches and the London Transport Regional Council to be advised.
Subject: REMOVAL OF DETRAINMENT STAFF, WATERLOO, WATERLOO & CITY LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND
That we note the current live ballot mandate to protect our members and traveling public from the company’s cavalier approach to detrainment is about to expire due to the government anti-trades union laws; and that we need to conduct another ballot to assist our members to continue working safely.
Further to our NEC decision of 11.6.19; we further add and clarify the following instruction on the General Secretary to ballot all affected Station Staff at the Heathrow Group and Train Operators, Night Tube Train Operators & Operator Instructors on the Piccadilly Line for industrial action in the form of:
Members to be advised by email & text.
Subject: RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2019 – LONDON UNDERGROUND
That we note the report from the Lead Officer, that the company has continued to disregard our claims for our low paid members, ignored our claim for the shorter working week and other parts of our submission apart from making a stand-alone offer on pay which falls short of our aspirations.
To add insult to injury the company has not made any offer whatsoever to our ex-Tube Lines members or held one single pay negotiations meeting with them.
