Piccadilly Line strike announced

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS

PICCADILLY LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

Further to previous correspondence, all Piccadilly Line Driver members are congratulated for the solid yes vote for both strike action and action short of a strike in this dispute. Following special Branch meetings, the National Executive Committee has considered this matter and taken the decision to call on you and your colleagues to take strike action by not booking on for any shifts that commence between:-

21:00 hours on Wednesday 11th July 2018 and 01:00 hours on Saturday 14th July 2018.

As you know, the issues in dispute are:

  • insufficient driver numbers;
  • undue pressure on Drivers from Service Control management;
  • obstruction of your representatives’ trade union duties and restricting the release of Reps to conduct their elected role;
  • and a draconian application of the attendance and disciplinary policies.

Talks with the Company are due to take place to seek a resolution to the above and I will keep you advised of all further developments.

STAND FIRM TOGETHER – SUPPORT THE STRIKE
